The very first step toward your new Expedited Trucking career with Stone Expeditors and Load One is completing our driver application. Please inquire for an official application. Applications are reviewed and approved within a matter of a day or two.
After application review and approval, we will work with you to schedule you into an orientation date which fits your schedule. We will order a drug screening at a location near you and ensure that you have an up to date DOT physical with at least 6 months remaining.
After we have scheduled a start date for orientation, you will then travel out to our Headquarters where we will have hotel accomdations prepared for you once you arrive.
Orientation takes place at our Headquarters (location may differ, depending upon your location and availability to begin). It's generally the day after you have arrived the hotel and only lasts for a few hours. We are ensuring that you understand Hours of Service, ELD device and internal systems and processes.
After completing orientation, we will personally go over the equipment with you. We will spend as much time with you ensuring that it is comfortable for you and that you understand every system and component of your assigned truck. Your Fleet Manager will be with you every step of the way, and accessible to you 24 hours/day.
